Find a good boxing gym or a professional coach. You can go online and browse local forums or check facebook for any clubs near by. Boxing clubs can be pretty pricey so make sure you find one that matches your budget.

If you don’t want to join a gym, or can’t afford paying a monthly membership, you can always buy equipment for your house.

The basic equipment for a home boxing gym, is either a hanging punching bag, or a freestanding bag. Check out Heavy Punchers for reviews on the best heavy punching bags.

Get a good pair of boxing gloves as well, buying a cheap set can lead to injuries or broken equipment. Follow these steps to prevent injuries while boxing.

Another good piece of boxing equipment, is a skipping rope. Skipping ropes really help with endurance and stamina, and it is a great cardio workout.

As a boxer you will need to start eating healthy. No matter how hard you work in the gym you cant out train a bad diet.

Remember to always stay hydrated, while you box, you lose a ton of fluids. To keep from fainting and cramping up, you gotta drink a lot of water or sports drinks to restore your electrolytes.

You will also need to make sure you are getting enough rest, sleep is very important for recovering from these high intensity workouts. You should be sleeping at least 7-8 hours a night. This should be a continuous sleep and you should be sleeping in peace and quiet, to get full rest.

The last pointer, is to make sure you practice, practice, and practice, but don’t overtrain. Listen to your body and learn your body, if it tells you to stop then stop.
